QUESTIONS YOU PROBABLY HAVE

How are the Life Archivists different from other videographers?

Your wedding day isn't a stylized photoshoot. It's a real, meaningful, once-in-a-lifetime experience.

And for us, we like to document it that way…as these experiences naturally unfold.

This means a straightforward, chronological film of your wedding—no fancy effects, just authentic moments preserved exactly as they happened. No direction, no staging, no manipulation—just honest and still professional.

Speeches aren't condensed to sound bites. And first dances aren't shortened to the “good parts.”

We document and showcase it all—because you never know which moments you'll want to revisit years from now.

Do you offer shorter Highlight Films?

No, we don't. We prefer to honor the real timeline of the day over stylized representation.

If having both creatively edited short films AND linearly documented films are more you, we recommend our founders’ main full-service cinematography studio, Dax Victorino Films.

We can also recommend other local wedding videography teams based on your budget. Feel free to contact us for details!

Won't a full video be boring to watch?

Complete documentation serves a different purpose than a shorter Highlight film.

Think of it as having a complete book versus just reading the summary. You might not watch the entire documentation every time, but you'll appreciate having the ability to revisit specific moments in their entirety—whether that's your complete vows, a parent's full speech, or an unexpected moment that became meaningful.

Many couples tell us they watch different portions on anniversaries, discovering new details each time!

Is there any creative element to your approach?

Our creativity comes through in our ability to document authentically without interfering. We use multiple camera positions, thoughtful framing, and professional audio recording to ensure every moment is preserved clearly and naturally.

Rather than imposing our creative interpretation on your day, we focus on documenting it truthfully, allowing its natural character to shine through.

Isn't this just raw footage?

Not at all. Raw footage is typically unedited, unstabilized, and often has poor audio.

Our documentation is professionally captured with multiple cameras and high-quality audio, carefully structured to follow your day chronologically, and delivered in a polished final form. The difference is that we preserve complete moments and maintain the actual sequence of events rather than manipulating them for stylistic effect.

Do you offer raw footage only package? Can you include the raw footage as well?

We don’t have a raw-footage-only package, but we offer a $500 raw-footage option to add to your booked collection.

Are travel fees included?

There are no travel fees for weddings within the Reno/Lake Tahoe area.

When will you deliver our film/s to us?

No longer than 90 days after your big day. While the films are simpler in style, we still take care in editing them. After all, they're meant to be cherished heirlooms that grow more valuable with time.
We also offer VIP rush editing as an optional add-on if you need your films earlier. Just reach out to learn more!

How will you work with our photographer?

We believe photos and films are equally important, so we'll collaborate seamlessly with your photographer. If we haven't worked with them, we'll connect before your wedding to ensure a smooth plan.

We’d love to book you for our wedding team!
